Partners For Self Employment, Inc (PSE), is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit Certified Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI), SBA intermediary lender and a Department of Health and Human Services Individual Development Account partner. PSE’s mission is to support the financial self-sufficiency and the accumulation of assets by low-income micro-entrepreneurs and families via opportunities to make, borrow, save, and manage money. In support of its mission, PSE targets the low income under-served, under or non-banked minority communities in Miami Dade County and Broward County with two key programs, which are provided in English, Spanish and Creole. The Peer Lending Program which provides entrepreneurial and financial literacy education and micro-business loans starting at $1,000 – $10,000 (without credit or collateral) to low-to-moderate-income residents of Miami-Dade and Broward County. The Peer Program prepares clients to graduate to our Direct Loan Program that offers expansion loans up to $35,000 and technical assistance to business that have been established for at least two years. The Direct Loan Program focuses on preparing businesses to expand and move on to applying for main stream financing from banks.
